Terms & Conditions/ Cancellation Policy
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
- Receipt of this letter is acknowledgment and agreement to the following terms and conditions.
- Should you wish to change your booking dates, the full cancellation policy applies to the original booking.
- The tariff is based on the number of guests for the specified time and duration. Any changes thereto will alter the tariff.
- Prices quoted are current at the time of booking, inclusive of GST, and firm upon full payment for the specified time and duration.
- Full payment of the stay is required upon check-in prior to park management handing over boomgate access codes/ cabin keys.
- Tariff/s will not be reduced upon check-in if the number of guests is less on arrival. Additional guests are welcome providing the total number of guests does not exceed the berth of the cabin/ site booked. All additional guests will be charged accordingly.
- A change of name may occur for your cabin/ site, the new booking will be charged a $55.00 admin fee for changes to occur.
- Any extra guests staying on your accommodation booking period must pay for the full stay for the period booked. We do not run accounts for single-night stays for any extra guests.
- Cabin keys will not be handed out to any other guest other than the booked guest on arrival unless prior arrangement with park management and the primary guest has occurred.
- Cabin/ Site check-in time is firm unless an SMS has been sent prior to this time allowing for early check-in.
- Guests must be 18+ years of age to make a reservation. Persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for all accommodation for the duration of their stay.
- Cabins are not serviced. A change of linen will occur for extended stays of ten or more nights only, a change of linen prior to this will incur a fee.
- Please note, there is an extra fee of $45.00 charged to charge your electric car in our holiday park per night. Electric cars can not be charged from the cabin or powered site powerpoints.
- Some periods throughout the year operate on minimum night stays, this includes specific days over those minimum nights.
- Only one promotional/ membership discount/ voucher can be redeemed on any one booking. Must be redeemed at the time of online or direct booking.
- Any online rates have their own Terms & Conditions that are relevant to that rate. These Terms & Conditions can be found on your confirmation email.
- If requested we will endeavor to hold a particular cabin/site, however, we reserve the right to move your booking to an equivalent cabin/site category for the same period without notice.
- Lost property will be held on-site for 3 months, thereon if not collected, lost property will be donated to a local charity. For any lost property to be returned to guests, guests must send a pre-paid post bag for the return of goods.
- Whilst Murray River Holiday Park is a pet-friendly park, not all cabin accommodation is pet-friendly. Policies for pets can be found on our website, guests must adhere to them at all times. Murray River Holiday Park accepts no responsibility for any extra costs needed to place your dog into dog care if you have booked a non-pet-friendly cabin.
- Given the small size of our holiday park, we allocate powered sites according to the size of your caravan. We take your word at the time of your booking the overall size of your caravan including the drawbar and any toolboxes/ bikes/slide-outs on the rear/side of your caravan. If you arrive and the overall length of your caravan is larger than first stated, and we do not have the flexibility to accommodate your booking, this will leave you with no booking here. In this case, no refund/ credit will be given.
- Please note, erections of tents/ swags or tarps are not permitted on any of our grassed/ slab sites or around cabin accommodation, you will be asked to remove such items from your powered site/ cabin at any time by park management. Tents/ swags are permitted only on our Astroturf sites.
- To comply with Australian Standards, no blow-up/ plastic pools are to be erected on any of our sites or around cabin accommodation.
- Please note, there is NO lifeguard on duty in our outdoor pool area. Children under the age of 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Holiday Parks approved matting (shade cloth environmental mats) is only permitted on our powered sites. No rubber-backed mats/ plastic mats are to be used on grassed or slab-powered sites.
- Water restrictions are now in force. Washing of vehicles requires approval from management prior to washing your vehicle.
- Due to the small size of our holiday park, only one car one boat, or one trailer is permitted at each cabin or site, any extra cars are to be parked in the carpark out the front of the boomgates.
- We have limited boat/ trailer parking within the Holiday Park grounds, we operate on a first-come-first-served basis to secure one of these. Please get in contact with our reception team if you are planning on bringing a boat or trailer prior to your arrival. Please note, that cabins can not accommodate boats or trailers.
- Trees in the holiday park are inspected regularly. Branches are still prone to fall from time to time. Persons entering the holiday park do so at their own risk. No responsibility will be accepted for personal or property damages caused by falling trees or branches.
- We reserve the right to refuse entry into Murray River Holiday Park. In this case, a partial refund will be issued under these circumstances by park management.
- Murray River Holiday Park has a zero-tolerance to offensive behavior in person, over the phone, or via email, excessive use of alcohol, unregistered guests staying overnight, acts of violence, or smoking in cabin accommodation.
- Murray River Holiday Park will not be liable for unforeseeable circumstances, including but not limited to floods, fire, pandemics, or catastrophes.
- Murray River Holiday Park respects your privacy. If you do not wish to have your email address added to our database, please tick the box under the privacy section on your guest registration form on arrival.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- Receipt of booking/ receiving confirmation letter is acknowledgment and agreement to the following terms and conditions.
- The cancellation policy reflects dates booked, altering booking dates will see the cancellation policy enforced, please keep this in mind if you choose to change your booking dates for any reason.
- All cancellations must be emailed to bookings@murrayriverholidaypark.com.au from the primary guest booking email.
- If you fail to arrive on your nominated arrival date, your booking balance will be charged in full to the credit card on file, your booking cancelled, and NO refund/ credit given if no contact has been made with us prior to your arrival date within the cancellation grace period.
- The cancellation policy is firm regardless of the notice given to cancel this booking.
- Please keep in mind, we do not refund any monies or apply any credits for late arrivals or early departures of any kind, in the event of inclement weather, cancelled local events, fires, floods, or pandemics/ catastrophes.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
PEAK BOOKINGS:
- At the time of placing the booking to 30 days prior to the arrival date, the deposit for the first night's tariff will be forfeited.
- Within 30 days of arrival, the full deposit paid will be forfeited as a cancellation fee.
- Any deposits forfeited will not be held as credit.
SHOULDER/ OFF-PEAK:
- Any cancellations are subject to a $55 cancellation fee for all Cabin types and a $22 cancellation fee for all Powered Sites prior to 14 days of arrival date.
- Within 14 days of the arrival date, the full deposit paid will be forfeited as a cancellation fee.
- Any deposits forfeited will not be held as credit.
GROUP BOOKING DEPOSIT RULE:
- For large group bookings (groups being: bowls clubs, golf clubs, or caravan clubs only, where booking details and accounts are paid by one person or organisation), we will require a 1 or 2 night deposit on all categories booked. More T&C's apply to group bookings of this nature.
- We do not accept large group bookings including footy/ netball trips or bucks/ hens parties.
- Nor do we accept smaller group bookings of 5 or more families all travelling together during peak periods.
- Group bookings for shoulder or pff peak seasons is subject to Managements approval.
Booking periods:
Peak: Christmas/ New Year, January Summer School Holidays, Australia Day, Southern 80, Riverboats Music Festival, Victorian Labour Day, Easter long weekend, Anzac Day, Queens/ Kings Birthday, Winter Blues Music Festival, AFL Grand Final, NSW Labour Day long weekend, Melbourne Cup. Minimum night stay applies exclusively to certain periods and stay dates run exclusively to certain days.
Shoulder: September 1st to May 31st yearly (excluding any peak periods), Moama Lights dates, minimum night stays apply.
Off-Peak: June, July & August, excluding any peak/ shoulder periods, minimum night stays may apply.
These periods can change at any time without notice.
ONLINE OTA BOOKINGS:
Each online OTA (online travel agent) booking website has its own cancellation/ terms and conditions. Please check these carefully. Better yet support Australian-owned and operated businesses by booking directly with us.
- Online OTA bookings are non-refundable. If guests cancel bookings or amend dates for any reason, any monies paid will be forfeited and not held as credit.
- OTA'S (Online Travel Agents) include Booking.com, Expedia/ Wot If, G'Day Parks, Echuca/ Moama Tourist Information Centre, and any other third-party sites.
G'DAY REWARDS MEMBERSHIP:
If you are a G'Day Rewards member you will receive a 10% discount (all discounts are capped at $50.00, regardless of rank)

(NB: Must have a valid membership card in the name of the guest, in-park benefits are subject to availability at the time of check-in and the discount is applied at the time of making the booking only or on check-in. Membership is not applied to guests who have already checked in.)
CREDITS:
Any existing credits held from 2020/2021/2022 from Covid-19 have all since expired, regardless of any email communications.
Any existing credits held from October/ November 2022 Floods have all expired in full on 30 June 2023.
Guests who have not booked and used credit prior to these dates will forfeit their deposit in full, with no exceptions.
Cancelled bookings with deposits paid will not be held as credit for future use.
RECEPTION HOURS:
Monday- Friday 8.30 am - 6 pm, Weekends 9 am - 6 pm.
Winter months: Daily- 9 am to 5.30 pm.
Public Holidays- 10 am to 5 pm.
Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve/ Day reception hours can vary. Reception is closed nor do we allow any check-ins or outs on Christmas Day or New Year's Eve/ New Year's Day. If you can make the reception hours for check-in, check-in is then strictly prior to 8 pm for cabin accommodation and strictly prior to 7 pm for powered sites. Self-check-ins are not available at any time.
